Review Time With Lo: A Love Catastrophe

~ 5 stars like always for Helena Hunting~

I have read every single hockey book Helena Hunting has ever published and know I always will. She was my first author of hockey romance I read and the reason I am now deep in the #booktok world. However, I have not gotten around to try out her non-hockey series until now. Let me tell you, I do not know what I was waiting for. Helena's writing extends across all settings as a must read. The way she quickly sets the scene and gets you attached to her characters is something not a lot of authors can do for me. The way she works in puns and humor while telling a great love story is unmatched.

Kitty, our female main character, owns her own cat-sitting business, Kitty Whisperer. The name Kitty and her social media leave open the jokes for our simple minded main characters and co-workers/friends that will keep you laughing. She takes her job seriously and loves all her furry companions which is a nice

Insert our Mr. Gumps, Miles who needs Kitty's help desperately. While he is not a cat lover, he enlists Kitty's help to take care of his mom's cat while she is in the hospital and dealing with her own health. However, these two do not have the typical meet cute in a romantic comedy and are soon the enemies prior to lovers. Kitty loathes the names he will call his mom's beloved cat and it does not help that she was tackled by Miles the first time they met.

While Kitty grows close to the cat, Prince Francis, she also feels her heart start to thaw towards Miles when they both navigate some heavy emotions about life being unfair to the both of them. Miles also starts to fall for both Kitty and Prince Francis and soon, both are mainstays in his life. Add in some fun from his best friend and team members of the NHL team he works for and you get a recipe for some laughs. Plus, we love a story with no 3rd act breakup and the conflict of the book not dealing with the couple themselves but outside conflict. Plus, the way Miles handled the conflict and supporting Kitty, *swoon*

I feel like Helena Hunting writes with a pen of gold when it comes to books I love and this one is no different!
